This proud specimen was decaying hardwood on a mossy log along the forest floor outside of Boone, North Carolina in August of 2020.
Psathyrella delineata is a species of mushroom native to North America, primarily the Eastern regions. We took the liberty of giving these mushrooms the common name "Pruney Cap" as it seems to suit them.
